Game Programming with Unity – July 17 to 20 2023

Welcome to the Game Programming with Unity summer camp at The Tech STEAM Center! Are you ready to embark on a week-long adventure into the exciting world of video game development? During this program, you’ll learn how to use Unity, one of the most popular game engines in the industry, to create your own video games from scratch. You’ll start with the basics of game programming and gradually work your way up to more advanced topics, such as programming in C#, level design, and game mechanics. Unity is a powerful game development tool that offers a wide range of features and capabilities, allowing you to create immersive and visually stunning games. With Unity, you’ll learn how to add gameplay mechanics such as physics, animations, and user interfaces. With the help of our experienced instructors, you’ll learn how to create games that are both engaging and challenging, while also learning how to collaborate effectively as part of a team. In addition to game programming, you’ll also learn important skills like game design, level design, and user interface design. You’ll work alongside other students to create games that are not only fun to play, but also aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly. At the end of the program, you’ll have the chance to showcase your game to your family and friends and demonstrate what you’ve learned throughout the week. You’ll leave with a better understanding of game programming principles, as well as a passion for game development using Unity.
