Game Programming with Python – July 31 to August 3 2023

Welcome to the Game Programming with Python summer camp at The Tech STEAM Center! Are you ready to take your coding skills to the next level and learn how to create your own video games using the powerful Python programming language? During this week-long program, you’ll dive into the world of game programming and learn how to design, develop, and publish your own games using Python. You’ll start with the basics of Python programming and gradually work your way up to more advanced topics. With Python, you’ll have access to a wide range of powerful tools and libraries that will help you create games involving graphics, engaging gameplay, and immersive sound effects. Throughout the week, you’ll tackle game development concepts as they relate to the game you develop With the help of our experienced instructors, you’ll learn how to use Python to create game mechanics, implement collision detection, and handle user input. In addition to game programming, you’ll also learn important coding skills like problem-solving, debugging, and project management. You’ll work with other students to develop games that are both fun and challenging, while also learning how to collaborate effectively as part of a team. At the end of the program, you’ll have the chance to showcase your games to your family and friends and demonstrate what you’ve learned throughout the week.
